1. I think

This is the most common and general way of giving an opinion. You can use it both informally and formally.

這是表達意見最常用的句式，正式與非正式場合皆可用。

例句：When you’re older I think you’d be better equipped mentally to cope with whatever happens.

等你再大一些，我想你就會有更好的心理準備來應對任何事情。

2. I reckon

This is a more informal way of giving your opinion.

這個句式更多地用在非正式場合。

例句：I reckon it was the best office party we have ever had.

我覺得這是我們辦公室歷年來最有趣的派對。

3. In my opinion / In my view

These expressions are more formal and are often used when talking about important issues.

這兩個詞組比較正式，通常用來討論比較重要的事情。

例句：In my view, our performances at the moment have been affected by tiredness.

在我看來, 我們此刻的表現(xiàn)都是因為太累了。

例句：In my opinion, the Bank of England should not raise interest rates this year.

我認為英格蘭銀行今年不該提高利率。

4. It seems to me / All things considered

When you’ve thought about a situation carefully you could use either of these two expressions.

這兩個句式常用來表達經(jīng)過深思熟慮后的意見。

例句：It seems to me that this crime was foreseeable and that this death was preventable.

在我看來，這起犯罪本來是可以預見的，受害者的死也是可以避免的。

例句：All things considered, I think we made a wise choice in recruiting James.

5. If you ask me

This is used when your opinion is critical. Sometimes, people say this even when their opinion hasn’t been asked for!

這個句式可以用來表達建設性的批評或意見。

例句：If you ask me, she has spoilt her children far too much.

依我說，都是她把孩子寵壞了。

6. To be honest / To tell you the truth / To be frank

All three expressions are a way of giving your opinion when you know that people may not like what you have to say.

如果需要說些不討喜的話，這三個短語能派上用場。

例句：To tell you the truth, your plan is unrealistic.

恕我直言, 你的計劃不太現(xiàn)實。

例句：To be honest, the house is not quite our style.

說實話，這房子我們不太喜歡。

例句：To be frank, I don’t like him.

7. Personally

This is used to emphasize that you are giving your own opinion.

例句：Personally, I couldn’t care less whether the Giants come or not.

8. As far as I’m concerned

When you realize that other people may not agree with you, you would use this expression.
