鯡魚(yú)是一種經(jīng)濟(jì)魚(yú)類(lèi)，然而現(xiàn)在,在某個(gè) bay，鯡魚(yú)的數(shù)量大大下降，政府建議說(shuō)應(yīng)該限制鯡魚(yú)的捕撈。文章反駁說(shuō)這種說(shuō)法達(dá)不到效果，原因有三：

【1】政府沒(méi)有考慮到鯡魚(yú)的 predator，有一種魚(yú)吃掉了很大數(shù)量的鯡魚(yú)，這才是鯡魚(yú)數(shù)量下降的主要原因，所以應(yīng)該控制鯡魚(yú)的捕食者的數(shù)量。

【2】鯡魚(yú)是 livestock 和 poultry 的主要蛋白質(zhì)來(lái)源，如果限制了捕撈，那么很多 farm 就得不到蛋白質(zhì)來(lái)源，從而受到影響。

【3】fishing limit 還會(huì)減少很多就業(yè)崗位，很多鯡魚(yú)的捕撈者，加工者和交易商會(huì)因?yàn)轹E魚(yú)產(chǎn)業(yè)的蕭條而失去工作，這個(gè)產(chǎn)業(yè)提供了本地區(qū)的大多數(shù)就業(yè)機(jī)會(huì)，整個(gè)地區(qū)的經(jīng)濟(jì)會(huì)因此受到影響。

【聽(tīng)力反駁】

【1】鯡魚(yú)的 predator 是 part of the whole ecosystem，它的存在使很多其他種類(lèi)的魚(yú)的數(shù)量 under control。所以更好的做法還是限制捕撈，不要 disturb the balance of environment

【2】作為蛋白質(zhì)來(lái)源，鯡魚(yú)可以被 soybean 所替代。因?yàn)榇蠖箤?duì)于 livestock和 poultry 來(lái)說(shuō)也是很好的蛋白質(zhì)來(lái)源并且大豆供給充足。Farm 根本不會(huì)受限制

捕撈的影響。

【3】文中說(shuō)經(jīng)濟(jì)會(huì)受影響真是目光短淺。這種 fishing limit 只是 temporary的，目的只是為了讓鯡魚(yú)數(shù)量回到正常水平，一旦回到了正常水平，漁業(yè)又可以繁榮發(fā)展起來(lái)。如果現(xiàn)在不限制捕撈，以后整個(gè)經(jīng)濟(jì)才會(huì)真正的 collapse。

在Rhone river的河底，考古學(xué)家發(fā)現(xiàn)了一個(gè)bust(就是一種頭部雕塑)，人們認(rèn)為這個(gè)bust是Julies Caesar的。有幾個(gè)理由：

【1】style of the sculpture: 頭像的藝術(shù)風(fēng)格正好是 Caesar 的那個(gè)年代的，叫“realist style”

【2】resemblance to Caesar’s other portraits : Caesar 年代的 silver coin 上有他的頭像，和考古發(fā)現(xiàn)的這個(gè) bust 非常相似，特別是頭發(fā)

【3】location of the bust found: Caser 后來(lái)被推翻，所以民眾不敢在新的國(guó)王統(tǒng)治下還保留 Caesar 的頭像，所以就扔河里了，很說(shuō)得通。

【3】There were others sculpture also found in that river, and they were right added that bust. And throwing it into river, just aiming to dispose the trash.

reading 談到了 deer 的角的三種 function

1st.散熱

2nd.keep from predator

3rd.male 用來(lái)表示他們 predominant

lecture 的觀點(diǎn)：

1.不對(duì)，deer 夏天過(guò)后它們的角還在 grow 呢；cold 的地方還 grow 呢；有些 warm 的地方 deer 的角偏小，cold 的地方它的角偏大，所以不是用來(lái)散熱的啊。

2.不對(duì)，如果是防 predator 呢，那 female 咋不長(zhǎng)呢。還有啊，在有些地方deer 是 kick 擊退 wolf 的啊

3.不對(duì)，兩個(gè) deer confront each other，發(fā)出 song 來(lái)傳達(dá)信息，然后其中一只 deer walk around，沒(méi)有 clear 的跡象表明是角比較小的 deer walk around 了啊。

【主題】Stone 為什么能夠被搬到很遠(yuǎn)的地方

Reading：

(1)風(fēng)吹的;

(2)ice把stone包裹起來(lái)，滑下去的時(shí)候帶動(dòng) stone 移動(dòng);

(3)人為 move。

Listening：反駁：

(1)石頭有移動(dòng)的痕跡，說(shuō)明阻力很大，由于石頭很重，不可能有這么大的風(fēng)能吹動(dòng)。

(2)那個(gè)地方不會(huì)有那么大的冰層，temperature 不夠低，水不夠充足;

(3)因?yàn)槭悄嗟兀�如果有人存在，�?huì)有痕跡，但是沒(méi)有痕跡。并沒(méi)有人或馬的腳印留下來(lái)。

閱讀講蘇格蘭 Hill forts 的石頭好像曾經(jīng)溫度很高融化過(guò)(vitrified)，3 個(gè)原因：

1.可能與宗教活動(dòng)有關(guān)，

2. 當(dāng)時(shí)的人不小心用火燒發(fā)現(xiàn)的

3.人們有意為之，因?yàn)?vetrified 后更堅(jiān)固;

1. 不可能是宗教儀式造成(反對(duì)第一個(gè)觀點(diǎn)說(shuō)到了這種 religious 已經(jīng)被 wipeout 了)，他們不會(huì)用長(zhǎng)草的城堡。

2. 不可能被襲擊著火造成的，因?yàn)闇囟炔粔蚋�，而且燃燒時(shí)間不夠長(zhǎng)，石頭不會(huì)融化。

3. 不可能是建筑師為了使城堡更堅(jiān)固弄的，雖然建筑師想讓城堡堅(jiān)固，之后好像還聽(tīng)到什么有彈性(太緊會(huì) brittle，建的時(shí)候都會(huì) loose 一些)
