雅思口語Part 1 真題解析

 例：Do you prefer to wear light or dark colored clothes?

這是2014年IELTS Part1口語考試中出現(xiàn)的跟Fashion and Cloth有關(guān)的真題，這是典型的Do you prefer…，問傾向性的問題，近兩年IELTS口語part1的話題越來越貼近日常生活，話題也比較多變，我們以這個話題為例探討part1的解題思路。

1. 考生在準(zhǔn)備相關(guān)話題的時候要了解話題的relevant vocabulary。比如這個話題，要對clothes相關(guān)詞匯有一個掌握，包括服裝類型：T-shirts，Jeans，Coats，Jackets，Sweaters…；服裝顏色，light colored，dark colored；服裝款式，silk，cotton…；等等可以想到的詞匯。

2. 根據(jù)問題的提問方式，我們可以來安排回答。根據(jù)考生實際情況，preference的強(qiáng)弱我們可以來安排不同的句式。①Strong preference：Without a doubt, I much prefer…/ Without question, I definitely prefer… ；②Weak preference：It’s (kind of) hard to say, because both have their plus points, but I guess if I had to choose one over the other, I would probably say I’d prefer…；③Depends：Well for me it kind of depends…；④Not sure；You know I’ve never really thought about this to be honest, but I guess I prefer…。

3. 具體情況具體分析。大部分情況希望考生能如實回答，但是這個話題，大部分考生傾向性并不明顯，因此，我們以對自己最有利的方面來回答，也就是進(jìn)行具體情況分析，wearing light colored clothes好處，讓我有一個好心情put me in a bright mood；wearing dark colored clothes好處，讓我看起來更嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)智慧make me look relatively smarter。

4. 所以根據(jù)上述分析我們可以給出一個sample answer

Well for me it kind of depends on the occasion. So for example, on most days I tend to prefer wearing quite light clothes, as I guess they (sort of) help put me in a bright mood, but if it’s for a formal occasion, such as a wedding, then my preference would (normally) be to wear dark clothes, as they (tend to) look relatively smarter.
