I am not quite a sports fan, usually I would only know information about sports from my friends. However, there’s a household name that I personally favor a lot - David Beckham. He first strikes my by his handsome face and well-built figure, which any girl would find fascinating about. Later, as a lot of my close friends told me, I got to know the news that he went to Real Madrid and then America or France, which I’m not quite sure. But there’s one match that is pretty unforgettable. It was the World Cup 06’ in Germany and it was the farewell match for this great player in his national team career. Even if he was not as crucial as he had been in tactics, he was still the faith of the whole team as well as the fans of England. From the news reports, as I remembered, he has got a very serious cold before match. During the match, he had tried his best trying to lead his team to the next round. Tackling, cross-passing and free-kick, his every single move would earn applauses from the spectators. Finally, at sixty minutes or so, substituted off by the coach, he has won a standing ovation. And what has shocked my heart is the moment when the camera captured him throwing up on the side of the pitch. That photo has lingered in my memory for a long time and will be a precious part of my poor football knowledge forever. I respect him. And I honor him. Although he didn't bring champion to England, he still deserves my highest  admiration.
