Talk about one of your family members who has similar traits as you. Describe those traits.

My mom has some similar traits as me. Firstly, we are very friendly. When our relatives or neighbors meet problems, she likes to help them. She may lend some money to them, give clothes or some food to them. Influenced by my mom, I often help my friends and classmates. Secondly, we are very independent. My mom doesn`t like to ask for help from others. Take the housework for an example. She will do it by herself. So I also learn this from her. When I have problems in my studying, I will try to solve them by myself.

Task 2

Between the following two places, where would you choose to live?

1. Big and new place but far from your workplace and/or university

2. small and old place but near your workplace and/or university.

I choose to live in big and new place but far from my university. There are two reasons. Firstly, it is comfortable to live in big and new place. Living in big place, I can put many things in it. I can have a big bed, a desk, a TV, a big sofa and so on. It`s a new place, so it`s convenient for me to make the decoration. Secondly, it can cultivate my independence. This place is far from my university. So I cannot eat in canteen. I need to cook for myself. I also need to do the cleaning for the place by myself.
