【教師解析】托福聽(tīng)力重聽(tīng)題

一、 “望文生義”的短語(yǔ)：

托福聽(tīng)力中有一些很地道的口語(yǔ)表達(dá)，例如：I hear you;You said it;You can say that again等等 這些都表示我同意的意思，但有時(shí)這類(lèi)口語(yǔ)表達(dá)并非他的字面意思，需要結(jié)合上下文來(lái)進(jìn)行推測(cè)。例如：TPO3-L1考到了“it is goes without saying ”(不用說(shuō)，不言而喻），往往這類(lèi)口語(yǔ)表達(dá)同學(xué)們都不太熟悉，所以要根據(jù)下文內(nèi)容來(lái)判斷 “ but the opposite is true as well, plants depend on humming birds too.There are some flowers that can only be pollinated by the humming birds. Without its stopping to feed and spread pollen from flower to flower, these plants would cease to exist.”因此，作者并非“真的沒(méi)有敘述”“plants depend on humming birds”。（很多同學(xué)把“it is goes without saying ”直接理解成不用說(shuō)）

相比之下，TPO21-C2就比較典型了。但因?yàn)樯衔倪B讀難度較大，此題正確率不高。

重聽(tīng)題：

Why does the professor say this：（Ok, Ok. I hear you.）
A. To convey understanding that the woman finds those subjects boring.
B. To acknowledge that those subjects are too difficult for many high school students.
C. To acknowledge that he has heard the same complaint from other students about those subjects.
D. To assure her that those subjects are taught more effectively at the college level.

解析：答案選A。學(xué)生說(shuō)他高中都一直忍受著這兩門(mén)課，上課幾乎都在睡著，因此，“I hear you”在這里表示贊同，理解的意思。重聽(tīng)題原文如下：

二、原句意思不完整或有省略現(xiàn)象出現(xiàn)：

TPO25-L2 重聽(tīng)題原文如下：

Glissando is, well, I've got a recording of Bartok here. Let's wait until the music is fresh in our minds.

教授想解釋Glissando的定義，但欲言又止，提出讓同學(xué)們先聽(tīng)一段錄音，切身體會(huì)一下，再進(jìn)一步解釋。

三、聽(tīng)力中出現(xiàn)情感信號(hào)詞或者表達(dá)明顯態(tài)度的詞（往往語(yǔ)調(diào)和重音會(huì)比較明顯）

TPO25-L3 中重聽(tīng)題考到“Strangely though, he gave into the dominant thesis of the day that hieroglyphs were pictographs.” “奇怪的是”，一方面是態(tài)度信號(hào)詞，一方面表轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系。都值得同學(xué)們注意。一開(kāi)始說(shuō)Thomas Yang 對(duì)于Rosetta stone 的破解做出了很大貢獻(xiàn)，話(huà)鋒一轉(zhuǎn)，開(kāi)始說(shuō)他之后又向主流的觀點(diǎn)屈服了。
