雅思閱讀中False和Not Given的區(qū)別。在雅思閱讀考試中，考生面對問題時經(jīng)常會出現(xiàn)定義混淆、概念不清等情況，所以今天由張揚老師（Amanda）為大家詳細解讀一下雅思閱讀False和Not Given的區(qū)別。

先來舉例說明：

文中提起：Chen learns English in Shinyway.

題目1. Chen studies in Shinyway. （T）
題目2. Chen studies French in Shinyway. （F）
題目3. Chen has learned English in Shinyway since last year. （NG）

雅思閱讀中False/ NO的區(qū)別:

1. 定義概念不符

①　文：An effective and ecologically sound strategy of biological control, involving the selective uses of natural enemies of the pest population, is fast gaining popularity. (C8 Biological control of pests)
題：Biological control entails using synthetic chemicals to try and change the genetic make-up of the pests’ offspring.
解析：文中說生物控制是用天敵來滅害蟲，但題中說的是用化學物質(zhì)。

②　文：An accident that occurred in the skies over the Grand  Canyon in 1956 resulted in the establishment of FAA. (C8 Air traffic control in the USA)
題：The FAA was created as a result of the introduction of the Jet engine.
解析：文中result in前面是原因即an accident 而題目中是Jet engine。

2. 相反矛盾

①　文：Perkin became Hofmann’s youngest assistant. (C9 William Henry Perkin)
題：Perkin employed Hofmann as his assistant.
    解析：“成為”與“雇傭”相反！

②　文：ATC existed well before the Grand Canyon disaster. (C8 Air traffic control in the USA)
題：ATC started after the Grand Canyon crash.
解析：好明顯~~

3. 范圍擴大（含絕對詞，可歸為信息不符）

否定詞：No/Not/None/Nothing/Never/few/little
Any/All/Only/Must/Impossible/Always/Absolutely/Invariably/definitely/irrefutably/assuredly/indisputably/undeniably/certainly/without question/guarantee
文：A true genius has a mind of large general powers, accidentally determined to some particular direction. (C8 The nature of Genius）
題：A true genius has general powers capable of excellence in any area.
文：The study compared the proportion of wealth poured into transport by thirty-seven cities around the world. （C6 Advantages of public transport）
題：The study examined transport systems in every city of the world.

雅思閱讀NOT GIVEN:

1. 部分沒提——題干的內(nèi)容或核心詞原文沒有提到。

文：Proving the truth of the famous scientist Louis Pasteur’s words ‘chance favours only the prepared mind’, Perkin saw the potential of his unexpected find. (C9 William Henry Perkin)
題：Perkin was inspired by the discoveries of the famous scientist Louis Pasteur.(劃線部分沒提)

2. 虛假比較

文：Schools in Japan are usually modern in design, set well back from the road and spacious inside.（C8 Land of the rising sum）(文中一個比較級的形容也沒有！ )
題：Private schools in Japan are more modern and spacious than state-run lower secondary schools.

3. 范圍縮小  形容詞、副詞最高級/the first/Only
 
文：他是學醫(yī)的。
題：他是學獸醫(yī)的。 （Not Given）
①　文：Their ancestors were among those who went back to the water.
題：Turtles were among the first group of animals to migrate back to the sea.
解析：說第一波了嗎，說第一波了嗎，說第一波了嗎？

②　文：The drug is derived from the bark of the cinchona tree, native to South America. (C9 William Henry Perkin)
題：The tree from which Quinine is derived grow only in South America.
解析：本土不代表只長在那里，范圍明顯縮小！
