　　羅馬帝國(guó)成功和滅亡的原因 Reading：三個(gè)羅馬帝國(guó)成功的原因 1、有能力組建軍隊(duì)，被征服國(guó)家里收取俘虜;2、羅馬帝國(guó)的軍權(quán)獨(dú)一無(wú)二至高無(wú)上;3、羅馬帝國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)好，收稅支持軍隊(duì)花銷。 Listening：反駁閱讀的三個(gè)原因，說(shuō)這是羅馬滅亡的原因 1、軍隊(duì)不全是羅馬人，收復(fù)的俘虜不忠實(shí)，羅馬有可能去打俘虜國(guó)家。俘虜也會(huì)反抗羅馬帝國(guó)。而且有證據(jù)表明在羅馬快滅亡打時(shí)候俘虜軍隊(duì)反叛了;2、對(duì)羅馬帝國(guó)剛開始的時(shí)候是有道理的，因?yàn)槠鸪醯膰?guó)王非常英明，但是后來(lái)國(guó)王不做political decision會(huì)有人挑戰(zhàn)王權(quán)。而且后來(lái)的國(guó)王有私欲，會(huì)建立宮殿等無(wú)心管理。最終導(dǎo)致滅亡;3、農(nóng)業(yè)等增長(zhǎng)已經(jīng)停止，然而軍事消耗還在增加，對(duì)人民對(duì)壓力越拉越大，人民反抗情緒高漲，不但不忠誠(chéng)國(guó)家還會(huì)記恨國(guó)家，最終導(dǎo)致滅亡

　　Marsupials 不如placental mammals 適應(yīng)性強(qiáng)：1、marsupial 的幼崽joeys，沒(méi)完全發(fā)育就出生，導(dǎo)致需要裝在pouch里面，vulnerable，抵抗能力差，而placental 的幼崽生下來(lái)就完全發(fā)育了，比較高級(jí);2、marsupial 不能有效的控制其體溫，這是其不足之處，不如placental高級(jí);3、marsupial競(jìng)爭(zhēng)不過(guò)placental，澳洲的kangaroo數(shù)量多的原因是因?yàn)闆](méi)有placental與其競(jìng)爭(zhēng)。 marsupial 適應(yīng)能力很強(qiáng)，有些方面比placental有過(guò)之而不不及：1、Joeys在媽媽口袋里很安全。喝媽媽的奶，增強(qiáng)抵抗力，幫助建立免疫系統(tǒng)，很有適應(yīng)能力;2、 marsupials 不光控制體溫，還能故意改變體溫，比如降低體溫，減少體力消耗，增強(qiáng)存活率;3、兩種哺乳動(dòng)物共同存在Australia 的時(shí)間是百萬(wàn)年以前，而不是文章中說(shuō)的最近。所以，placental 不用和marsupial競(jìng)爭(zhēng)。

　　復(fù)活節(jié)島上的人是不是來(lái)自南美 Reading：The first inhabitants of Easter Island come from South America.1、It is possible that South Americans drifted to this island on rafts by wind and ocean current.2、Some stones walls in Easter Island are built to honor the ancestors, and the techniques uses are similar to those used in the South America.3、Some of the plants in the Easter Island share the same genetic roots with those discovered in the South America in which local people farmed and cultivated. Listening：The evidences in the reading are not convincing.1、There is no evidence that rafts or cannons could come landing in this island after by floating across the ocean. Even if it did, there were no artifacts left, such as cooking utensils, tools brought with them for daily life in such harsh living condition.2、The techniques used in both places are different. The stonewalls in Easter Island are hollow, whose techniques are not as complex as those used in the wall in South America.3、The plants can be floated to the island themselves, instead of being carried.
