大家好，這里是YOYO聊音樂(lè)第五集。在元旦假期里，YOYO跟大家聊了近期呼聲極高，業(yè)界認(rèn)為有望在2016再次引發(fā)金屬狂潮的幾支樂(lè)隊(duì)，并和大家分享他們的成功之作。今天，我們繼續(xù)聊聊這些重磅金屬樂(lè)隊(duì)。

Vektor – Ultimate Artificer

Eschewing the now well-worn retro thrash ethos in favour of a wilfully eccentric and proudly demented approach that marks them out as heirs to Voivod's skewed prog metal throne, Vektor are simply one of the most feted bands in the underground right now. Conceptually tethered to the darkest of sci-fi conceits and clearly disinterested in toning things down to lure in mainstream metal fans, the Canadians' forthcoming third album promises to be a bit special, the unhinged intensity of Ultimate Artificer pointing to an increasingly uncompromising vision and a sense of urgency that few contemporary bands can match. Evil cosmic thrash... yes, it's a thing.

Shotgun Rodeo – Up In Smoke

In metal circles, Norway is known primarily for its grim and shadowy black metal scene, but Shotgun Rodeo are audibly hell-bent on altering that focus. A masterful blend of old school bombast and ferociously modern crunch, the Trondheim gang's forthcoming World Wide Genocide album is so unashamedly joyful and anthemic that it's easy to imagine these songs being performed in arenas. While many latter-day students of Priest and Maiden stick rigidly to a reverential template, Shotgun Rodeo somehow make their giant choruses and elaborate, virtuoso arrangements sound utterly fresh and timely. Big, bold and belligerent heavy metal with soaring melodies, plenty of lyricalbite and a sense of fun that will surely prove to be infectious.

Heck – The Breakers

The band formerly known as Baby Godzilla may have had to negotiate a change of identity, but the sublime madness that drives their flailing noisecore missives remains as potent as ever. Recreating the untamed pandemonium of the quartet's near-legendary live shows is never going to be a straightforward task, but The Breakers nails it in three-and-a-half barking mad and brilliantly bellicose minutes. Raw, rampaging and always teetering on the edge of chaos, this is heavy enough to engage curious metalheads and noisy enough to give Thurston Moore a splitting headache.

Retro thrash

如果大家對(duì) Retro style 不陌生，應(yīng)該不難猜測(cè)什么是 Retro thrash 了。Retro style 實(shí)際上是對(duì)“懷舊風(fēng)”或者“復(fù)古風(fēng)”的一個(gè)泛稱(chēng)，具體到不同領(lǐng)域，可以有衣著、家居、模式甚至態(tài)度的 retro。

這里大家可能會(huì)問(wèn)，究竟 retro 懷的有多“舊”，復(fù)的有多“古”呢？其實(shí)也許遠(yuǎn)沒(méi)有你想象得那樣久遠(yuǎn)——一般也就是回溯15至20年的光景。說(shuō)到這兒，大家可以推算一下 retro thrash 大概是起源于什么年代的金屬風(fēng)潮了。

不過(guò) retro thrash 似乎并沒(méi)有它的前輩 thrash 那樣受歡迎。首先，這一波懷舊風(fēng)中涌現(xiàn)的樂(lè)隊(duì)實(shí)在是良莠不齊，而且貌似莠的比良的多得多。其次，相當(dāng)一部分的所謂“新作”充其量只能算是“模仿”（演奏技巧上尤其如此），更遑論那些畫(huà)虎不成的作品（相比之下，前輩們的演奏技巧還真是杠杠的難以超越�。�。再次，說(shuō)好些，回潮樂(lè)隊(duì)的精力全花在夸張作秀（showmanship）上了。也難怪不少樂(lè)迷認(rèn)為這是一次極為失敗的回潮。

但是，但是，但是——優(yōu)秀的樂(lè)隊(duì)，光芒總是萬(wàn)丈——Violator, Lich King 以及 Municiple Waste 的很多作品還是棒棒的。

prog metal

大名 Progressive metal，中文名前衛(wèi)金屬，也是 heavy metal 的一個(gè) sub，起源于上世紀(jì)70年代的英國(guó)和美國(guó)。看名字不難猜出它的雙親：一邊是 heavy metal，沿襲了吉他主導(dǎo)金屬樂(lè)的張力；另一邊是 progressive rock，繼承了更為復(fù)雜的演奏和作曲技法，以及隨之而來(lái)的更強(qiáng)的音樂(lè)性。

Vektor - Black Future

Vektor, Sci-fi Thrashers Terminal Redux, Ultimate Artificer

來(lái)看一下文中第三位出現(xiàn)的 Vektor 樂(lè)隊(duì)——這也是YOYO本人鐘愛(ài)的一支樂(lè)隊(duì)。如果要給這支美帝（文中說(shuō)是 Canadians，其實(shí)是四個(gè)老美在美國(guó)成立的）樂(lè)隊(duì)貼上標(biāo)簽的話(huà)，那么至少應(yīng)該有三個(gè)：thrash metal，prog metal 和 sci-fi。前兩個(gè)大家通過(guò)YOYO的介紹應(yīng)該已經(jīng)有所了解，那第三個(gè)到底是什么呢？

其實(shí)這里的 sci-fi 指的是音樂(lè)主題。Vektor 是一支很特別的樂(lè)隊(duì)，他們的作品經(jīng)常以科幻為主題。

比如他們即將在2016年發(fā)行的新專(zhuān)輯‘Terminal Redux’（文中推薦的 Ultimate Artificer 這支單曲，實(shí)際上是這張專(zhuān)輯的第五首歌），就又是一張概念專(zhuān)輯，它講述了一個(gè)完整的音樂(lè)故事，情節(jié)大致是：在某個(gè)時(shí)空中，天琴座政權(quán)正一統(tǒng)全宇宙。在這個(gè)星座上的我們的主人公用盡各種手腕登上權(quán)利巔峰后，卻發(fā)現(xiàn)權(quán)利其實(shí)只不過(guò)是一種幻象罷了（）。

所以，金屬發(fā)展到今天，早就不再像某些人想象的那樣，只是巨響中的宣泄。作曲、編排、演奏和思考，一個(gè)都不曾少。

Priest and Maiden

指的是 Judas Priest 和 Iron Maiden。這兩支樂(lè)隊(duì)是很多 metal 樂(lè)隊(duì)的膜拜對(duì)象。前者曾擯棄了許多 Blues 的影響，從而帶來(lái)了 metal 界的革命。兩者都以高音調(diào)而決不拖泥帶水的唱法而著稱(chēng)。

Judas Priest

Thurston Moore

吉他界大師級(jí)人物。著名樂(lè)隊(duì) Sonic Youth 創(chuàng)始人、吉他手，作詞作曲全能。曾在滾石“史上100位最偉大的吉他演奏家”名單中排名第34位，更被頂級(jí)音樂(lè)雜志 Spin 員工票選“世界100位最偉大的吉他演奏家”時(shí)列在首位（與他并列第一的是同屬 Sonic Youth 的 Lee Ranaldo）。

Black Metal, Shotgun Rodeo

黑色金屬，又一種 metal 的 Sub。相信僅憑名字你就會(huì)對(duì)這種音樂(lè)的氣場(chǎng)略知一二。特點(diǎn)很鮮明：飛一般的節(jié)奏，尖叫般的唱腔，強(qiáng)調(diào)失真效果，大量運(yùn)用顫音，非傳統(tǒng)音樂(lè)結(jié)構(gòu)……當(dāng)然還要加上表演者們冷峻而驚悚的“尸妝”——BTW，“corpse paint”可不是想象中那么好化的，一不小心就有可能弄成滑稽戲小丑，把黑色金屬活生生搞成黑色幽默。

好，現(xiàn)在來(lái)說(shuō)一下 Shotgun Rodeo 這支挪威樂(lè)隊(duì)。這支樂(lè)隊(duì)由四位樂(lè)手組成，分別為主唱 Nino Escopeta，吉他手 Don Shrediablo，貝司手 Dorian Crazed，鼓手 Vegzilla。

曾經(jīng)發(fā)行過(guò)兩張EP的他們（2012年 Dead End Massacre, 2013年 Guilty As Charged）終于推出了首張大碟 World Wide Genocide。如果你獨(dú)愛(ài)黑色金屬犀利的音樂(lè)，強(qiáng)有力的氣場(chǎng)，而且還有一顆大心臟受得了他們的歌詞的話(huà)，那么這張專(zhuān)輯會(huì)特別值得一聽(tīng)。
