碰到地圖類(lèi)文章時(shí)，我們應(yīng)該注意以下幾個(gè)問(wèn)題。首先，是方位詞的使用，需要使用north, south, west, east這些方位詞，而不能直接說(shuō)上下左右，否則方位概念表達(dá)模糊。比如，我們想要表達(dá)A在B的北部，有兩種情況。一是，A和B是獨(dú)立的兩地，互補(bǔ)包含，我們可以說(shuō)A is to the north of B；二是，A在B的內(nèi)容，我們則說(shuō)A is in the north of B。注意區(qū)分介詞的使用，精準(zhǔn)表達(dá)概念。

其次，我們應(yīng)該著重觀察隨著時(shí)間的推移，哪些部分面積變大了（be enlarged），哪些部分面積變小了（be reduced），哪些部分原來(lái)沒(méi)有的后來(lái)被建造了起來(lái)（be built/ be constructed），哪些部分原來(lái)有的后來(lái)被拆除了（be removed），哪些部分改變了（be replaced with/ be turned into/ be converted into/ gives way to），哪些部分沒(méi)有改變（remain unchanged）。在表達(dá)時(shí)切忌使用appear、disappear或become等詞，因?yàn)榉孔踊蛟O(shè)施并不是自己出現(xiàn)、消失或改變的，而是被人們建造、拆除、改造的�；�于此，我們不難發(fā)現(xiàn)地圖題的另一特點(diǎn)，即動(dòng)詞常常需要使用被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)。

　　Overall, it is clear that the school increased in size over the years, and the car park was constructed and then expanded. By contrast, the playground decreased in size, and the sports field was built and then reduced in size.

In 1950, the school was built along a main road next to a number of houses. There was a farmland to the southwest of the school and a playground to the south of the school. In 1980, the houses were removed in order to make way to a car park and a science block. The farmland was converted into a sports field, while the playground remained unchanged.
　　In 2010, the school main building and the science block remained unchanged, but the car park was expanded to cover the original sports field. As a result of this, the original playground was divided into two parts: a smaller playground and a smaller sports field.
