Reason 1:　污染等環(huán)境問題愈加嚴(yán)重

Reason 3:  讓步，承認的確人類做出了努力（新能源新技術(shù)等），然而better protect的前提是不再繼續(xù)傷害，如今人類的發(fā)展和進步犧牲了環(huán)境，何談better protect?

In the first place, human beings are in the era of economic explosion, so to a large extent, their damage to the environment largely surpasses the so-called protection. The environment pollution can be witnessed everywhere. Numerous factories are still releasing huge amount of toxic gases into the atmosphere, which has caused the haze problem and great negative influence on residents in some developing countries like China. Also, due to the fact that more families are able to afford a car, the exhaust fume is discharged into the air to a larger extent than before. What’s more, the waste water produced by some large factories has not been reduced, despite the fact that both the government and citizens have taken measures to control the contamination. The current situation in environment protection is just like when you declare that you want to protect a kid while at the same time hurt him constantly, even more severely.

Moreover, people living in this modern world seem to pursue more economic value and personal enjoyment instead of struggling to overcome the already existed environment problems. For instance, ivory is used to create some beautiful artworks, while the cost is that wild animals have to suffer from being hurt by human beings. And when a lady wears a beautiful mink coat, I don’t think she realizes that the fur on her comes from hunting innocent creatures by some cruel businessmen who only care about money. It is widely accepted that the wild animals are important parts of the whole Eco-system, but I see little evidence that modern individuals are sparing no effort to protect the environment. Though modern techniques on environmental protection are far more advanced than the previous level in the past days, it seems insignificant when comparing the disaster we human beings bring to our Eco-environment.

For one thing, the development of some cutting-edge technologies provides more possibilities for modern people to better protect the environment. This can be firstly proven by the fact that scientific field is constantly researching new clean energy. Currently, some clean energies like natural gases, solar energy and hydro power have been used to replace the conventional fuel like diesel and gasoline which emit more harmful gases and particles into the atmosphere. On the other hand, new environment concerned technologies are also invented to rescue the collapsing situation. For instance, high-tech filters are being implemented in cars to catch all those bad particles that we breathe and can be harmful to humans. And I recently read in an article that a kind of new diesel which is refined and has a lower sulfur content than its predecessor has been produced, which means a good thing for the environment.

For another, both governments and the citizens have realized the significance of environment protection and have taken effective measures to help alleviate the pressure faced by the environment. Considering the situation that the air we are breathing everyday is gradually becoming deteriorated, some governments, especially in those metropolises, have adopted vehicle control, which means controlling the number of cars by regulating that cars with specific tail number could not run on road. Through this regulation, air pollution can get controlled to some extent. Similar environmental protection awareness is also propagandized in the whole society. For instance, in order to get shark fin for meal, human beings hunt and kill sharks without mercy. In a public advertisement, Yaoming calls for the whole society to stop eating shark fins and protect sharks from being killed.
