托福閱讀藝術(shù)類文章該如何解決

在我們的出國(guó)語(yǔ)言考試中，藝術(shù)歷史類背景文本在中多次出現(xiàn)，這樣的材料對(duì)于大多數(shù)理工科同學(xué)來(lái)說(shuō)都非常頭疼，學(xué)生往往會(huì)說(shuō)：翻譯成漢語(yǔ)我都不知道這篇文章想表達(dá)什么。比如托福TPO40介紹The origins of writing, 提及了Assyrian亞述人；TPO42講述古希臘雕塑，提到了August屋大維和Michelangelo。

綜合TPO中以人類藝術(shù)為題材的文章，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)，要么分析一種藝術(shù)形式在一定時(shí)期的存在方式、意義、起源；要么以時(shí)間為軸線，分析一種藝術(shù)形式的演變進(jìn)程。中藝術(shù)類文章怎么解決？每當(dāng)同學(xué)請(qǐng)教這個(gè)問(wèn)題，我通常會(huì)講“最短平快的見(jiàn)效方法就是記憶學(xué)科詞匯”，然而當(dāng)我們把承載著大師們天賦與情感的藝術(shù)僅僅用幾個(gè)抽象名詞表示的時(shí)候，可能是最拙劣的方法。所以，在時(shí)間允許的情況下，如果能接觸藝術(shù)，適當(dāng)看幾次展覽，可能事半功倍。 

比如：

再比如，Remembering Antiquity： The Ancient World through

In a rare juxtaposition of antiquities from the Getty Villa and manuscripts from the Museum’s collection, this exhibition explores medieval responses to the ancient world. For more than a thousand years following the fall of Rome (476 A.D.), classical culture lived on in European literature and art. Medieval scribes translated and preserved classical texts, while artists adapted and embellished images of ancient rulers and mythical heroes for inclusion in Christian manuscripts. Although the “rediscovery” of Greek and Roman culture is often associated with the Renaissance, antiquity was never forgotten.
