雅思寫(xiě)作常見(jiàn)錯(cuò)誤：語(yǔ)義重復(fù)

在雅思寫(xiě)作task 2 大作文中，我們的cohesion 一直是我們很多學(xué)生比較弱的部分。今天我們就來(lái)講解一下，其實(shí)銜接第一種就是指我們平常很多學(xué)生理解的銜接詞匯，比如句內(nèi)很多連接詞： because， as， while, unlike, even if, such as, although, in terms of 等。以及句子之間很多的連接詞，比如therefore， as a result, for example, in spite of this, similarly, nevertheless, in other words 等等。我們的連接詞還可以采用暗承接。我們可以使用指示代詞，人稱(chēng)代詞，物主代詞或者定冠詞對(duì)前一句話中出現(xiàn)的內(nèi)容進(jìn)行指代，從而在前后句之間形成自然的承接關(guān)系。比如，this trend, this development, this tendency, this experience; 或者they, these, we, such +名詞等。

今天我們通過(guò)一篇學(xué)生的作文進(jìn)行分析，看看如何更好地實(shí)現(xiàn)句子之間或者句中的銜接。作文題目是：Some think inviting large foreign companies to set up in developing countries is helpful for the local economy, while others think that they do more than goods. Discuss both these views and give you own opinion.

開(kāi)頭：Nowadays, there are a large number of companies setting up branches and factories in developing countries. Some people think inviting large foreign companies to set up factories in developing countries is a helpful way to develop local economy. Others hold the opinion that that brings more drawbacks than benefits to developing countries.

第二段：There is no doubt that the large investment of foreign companies contributes to the development of local economy. It provides a lot of job opportunities such as building constructors, cleaners, which in turn helps the local people to generate income and improves the living standard of local people. Meanwhile, foreign investment brings new technology and management experience. People can expand their views and open their mind. The local companies can learn advanced technology and management experience so as to make it better.

我們首先看一下這篇文章的開(kāi)頭，在開(kāi)頭部分，我們總共只有3句話， 可是作者把引進(jìn)外國(guó)企業(yè)到發(fā)展中國(guó)家說(shuō)了兩次，“a large number of companies setting up branches and factories in developing countries”and “inviting large foreign companies to set up factories in developing countries”。 這個(gè)就造成我們的語(yǔ)義重復(fù)。正確的應(yīng)該是把最后的這個(gè)改成代詞加名詞的形式來(lái)代替前面出現(xiàn)過(guò)的這個(gè)表達(dá)，比如，我們可以用this trend, or this policy. 這樣才可以避免同樣的事情說(shuō)兩遍，避免重復(fù)。

中間段落也是一樣的問(wèn)題。作者在展開(kāi)的時(shí)候，首先提到‘foreign investment brings new technology and management experience’。在后面的時(shí)候作者又提到‘The local companies can learn advanced technology and management experience’。這里先進(jìn)的技術(shù)和管理經(jīng)驗(yàn)就被重復(fù)了兩邊，其實(shí)我們?cè)谶@里可以選擇用代詞來(lái)替換它，比如，these。所以我們改完之后，就可以變成下面的段落：

開(kāi)頭：Nowadays, there are a large number of companies setting up branches and factories in developing countries. Some people think this trend is a helpful way to develop local economy. Others hold the opinion that that brings more drawbacks than benefits to developing countries.

第二段：There is no doubt that the large investment of foreign companies contributes to the development of local economy. It provides a lot of job opportunities such as building constructors, cleaners, which in turn helps the local people to generate income and improves the living standard of local people. Meanwhile, the local companies can learn advanced technology and management experiences brought by these firms and open their mind, making them better.
