專家解讀：轉(zhuǎn)折信號(hào)詞在雅思閱讀中的用處

轉(zhuǎn)折信號(hào)詞的作用是否定前面的觀點(diǎn)，肯定后面句子的觀點(diǎn)。表示轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系的詞有：but，however，whereas，in fact，on the contrary，conversely，on the other hand等。在閱讀前半句時(shí)就可以預(yù)測(cè)后半句的大意，使接下來(lái)的閱讀過(guò)程變成求證，如同把文章讀了兩遍。另外，如果在有生詞的情況下，只要理解了半句話的意思，就可以推測(cè)到另一半句子的含義。

比如原文劍橋5 Test3  Passage1
　　Early childhood education, paragraph E, by the age of 3, the children .......more advanced in ...., had made greater strides in...., and were further along in social development. In fact, the average child in the programme was performing at the level of the top 15 to 20 percent of their peers in such things as auditory comprehension, verbal ability and language ability.
　　題目為
　　Most Missouri programme three-year-olds scored highly in areas such as listening, speaking, reasoning and interacting with others.

解題： in fact為轉(zhuǎn)折信號(hào)詞，故這之后為重點(diǎn)，是作者想強(qiáng)調(diào)的觀點(diǎn)，這樣我們就可以注意到小孩子在三個(gè)方面做的比同齡年人好，分別是聽力理解，口語(yǔ)能力和語(yǔ)言能力。正好對(duì)應(yīng)題目里面的聽力，口語(yǔ)，推理和交流。故答案是True.
　　再比如：
