Answer:

It seems to me that they are just totally different.The most fundamental one is that elderly people are partial to the tradtional ways of communication. Just to give you an example, my grandmother is a good letter writer, and she likes to get down her thoughts by hand. By contrast, most of the young folks prefer something more fashionable and speedy, like sending e-mail, because they believe that everything is just a click away from them on the information highway.

What are the differences between young people and elders on music?

Answer:

I would say that there are a whole lot of distinctions. The most obvious one is that young people are normally considered to be the sunrise which is the symbol of passion and energy. They are big fans of new and exciting stuff. Pop music, especially the Punk which is featured with fast beat and wild melody can just stir young people’s curiosity and attract their attention. While elders are more conservative and traditional. It is pretty hard for them to understand the new type of music. Instead they tend to be fascinated with Peking Opera that is the national essence and cultural treasure.
