美本網申系統(tǒng)開放，新申請季Common App五大新變化

8月1日，新一輪的Common App申請系統(tǒng)全面開放，意味著，2022er你們要數著DDL過日子了！

Common App是美國本科申請三大網申系統(tǒng)之一，也是目前美國大學申請主要使用的系統(tǒng)之一，每年超過100萬學生通過該系統(tǒng)在線申請大學。網站鏈接：https://wwwmonapp/apply

CA通用申請系統(tǒng)的特點是，申請人只需填寫一份申請表，包括標化成績、文書、背景活動以及推薦信等，就可以用它來申請多所大學，可以有效節(jié)省申請大學的時間。

新申請季Common App五大新變化

1.現(xiàn)已新增64所高校接受該應用程序；

2.修改性別選項以更好地代表申請人；

3.更改公民身份問題以減少訪問障礙；

4.新增個人陳述提示;

5.COVID-19相關選填題部分持續(xù)保留

64所學校新加入系統(tǒng)

今年，共有64所高校新加入Common  App系統(tǒng)。

所有伊利諾伊州公立大學都將使用 Common App，伊利諾伊州成為美國頭一個要求其公立四年制大學使用 Common App 的州。

伊利諾伊州立大學招生主任 Jeff Mavros 說道：“允許學生使用 Common App 進行申請將使伊利諾伊州、中西部和全國范圍內的學生更容易接觸到大學。”

其他Common App 新成員學校包括：

詹姆斯麥迪遜大學，弗吉尼亞州雪蘭多谷的一所公立大學；

普瑞特藝術學院，位于布魯克林區(qū)；

波特蘭州立大學，位于俄勒岡州的4年制公立學校；

阿拉巴馬大學，阿拉巴馬州歷史最悠久、規(guī)模最 大的公立大學……

此前，Common App官方宣布2021-2022申請季部分板塊會做出調整。比如：

1、主文書第4題有改動，變成“Reflect on something that someone has done for you that has made you happy or thankful in a surprising way. How has this gratitude affected or motivated you?”

其他6道題目沒有變化，并且“額外信息”部分仍然保留COVID-19的備選問題“分享疫情對你個人和學術的影響”。

①、Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.

②、The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?

③、Reflect on a time when you questioned or challenged a belief or idea. What prompted your thinking? What was the outcome?

⑤、Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realization that sparked a period of personal growth and a new understanding of yourself or others.

⑥、Describe a topic, idea, or concept you find so engaging that it makes you lose all track of time. Why does it captivate you? What or who do you turn to when you want to learn more?

⑦、Share an essay on any topic of your choice. It can be one you've already written, one that responds to a different prompt, or one of your own design.

2、另外，為了適應越來越多樣化的學生，減少偏見或歧視，Common App決定修改部分個人信息問題。

比如：公民身份的選項中，“Other (non-US)” 替換成 International students 和 Undocumented/DACA students 兩個選項。

刪除父母和兄弟姐妹相關問題，父母的職業(yè)、學歷、就業(yè)情況相關問題設置為Optional。

性別描述部分，用詞從 “sex” 改成 “legal sex”。
