寫(xiě)作：今天的小作文是繼9月20日之后再一次考到地圖，題目是描述一個(gè)community centre十年后房間格局的變化。上課時(shí)有仔細(xì)聽(tīng)老師講解過(guò)相同類(lèi)型題目寫(xiě)法的同學(xué)，肯定能夠游刃有余地應(yīng)對(duì)今天的考題。同類(lèi)圖如下：The diagrams below are existing and proposed floor plans for the redevelopment of an art gallery.

 　　首先要注意的是時(shí)態(tài)問(wèn)題，如描述上面第一張圖時(shí)應(yīng)該是一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)，而第二張圖則應(yīng)該用將來(lái)時(shí)。今天的考題“十年后”若是一種設(shè)想的狀況，也應(yīng)該用將來(lái)時(shí)，但更有可能的是一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)或過(guò)去時(shí)，需要同學(xué)們?cè)趯忣}時(shí)有個(gè)清晰的判斷。另外，在概述的時(shí)候可以先總體說(shuō)一下在房間格局上有很大的變化，然后再把最突出的變化點(diǎn)一下即可。以下是上圖中涉及到的一些表達(dá)，相信也可以用到今天的考題中去：

而今天的大作文就實(shí)在是太簡(jiǎn)單了，工作類(lèi)的題本身就不至于無(wú)話可說(shuō)，而且還是2011年11月19日的原題重現(xiàn)，一定會(huì)有同學(xué)準(zhǔn)備過(guò)這個(gè)題目，如下：

Some people argue that job satisfaction is more important than job security, while others think that people cannot always expect to enjoy a job and a permanent job is more important. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.（一些人認(rèn)為工作滿(mǎn)足感比工作穩(wěn)定性更重要，而另一些人認(rèn)為人們不能總是期望享受工作，一份穩(wěn)定的工作才是更重要的。討論雙方觀點(diǎn)并給出自己的觀點(diǎn)。）

如果要說(shuō)唯一難的地方，恐怕就是題目中的幾個(gè)詞會(huì)有同學(xué)不認(rèn)識(shí)或拿捏不準(zhǔn)意思。job security（工作穩(wěn)定性）不是“工作保衛(wèi)”，而permanent是temporary（暫時(shí)的）的反義詞，屬于高頻常用詞匯。這題的問(wèn)法是“討論+觀點(diǎn)”，那么在文章開(kāi)頭就應(yīng)該清晰地亮出自己的觀點(diǎn)，例如：“承認(rèn)工作穩(wěn)定性很重要，但工作滿(mǎn)足感同樣不可忽視”。之后在兩個(gè)主體段分別討論“穩(wěn)定性”和“滿(mǎn)足感”的重要性即可。以下一些觀點(diǎn)思路/表達(dá)方式供同學(xué)們參考：

　　The diagrams illustrate the changes in the communitycenter before and after the decoration.

It is noticeable that the whole area for indoor activity has been expanded over the 10-year period. The most significant changeis that the initial garden was replaced by inner sports.

Inhabitants can enter the reception through a door as before. In the center of the community center, there is a hall which can accommodate 100 people at the sametime, and this is also the same as before. However, the large storage room northto the hall, has been divided into two parts today, namely, a smallerstorage and toilets.

The coffee bar is no longer a part of the community center. Instead, an office equipped with toilets has taken itsplace. Also, four offices in the northeast corner and the storage opposite tothe kitchen disappeared. A newly-built café area occupies thisarea and is open to all visitors currently. Finally, the kitchen and parking lot are still in use.

　　It is true that seeking for a decent job is not as easy asdecades ago due to the economic recessionand competitive job market. Althoughsome may argue that a sense ofsatisfaction towards their jobs is crucial, personally, I believe that apermanent job is more meaningful.

On the one hand, a permanent job can guarantee to meetemployee’s basic needs. This is because almost no one can escape from thereality. Everyday, we are facing with a variety of expenses, such as food, shelter, transport, bill and even education tuition for children. With arelatively stable job, people, especially those in middle aged can cover most expenses. In addition, thosewho stay in the same company or institute aremore likely to get a promotion as they show the loyalty towards theircompany. However, those who change their jobs frequently may have unintended outcomes. For example, they may find difficult to support themselves and raise their family members.

On the other hand, those advocates for pursuing a job theylove might regard job satisfaction as the priority when finding an employment.They believe only working with friendly colleagues and employers and under aflexible working time schedule, can they fulfill their potential and accomplish all tasks well. However, this idea is unrealistic. For example, dozens of young graduates in all parts of the world have thebitter result because of their immature thought, that is unemployment.

In my opinion, there isno perfect job in the world. The only thing we can do is to find a suitable jobrather than a perfect one. There is a 10,000 hours theory in psychology that peoplewho devote themselves to jobs and spend more than 10,000 hours constantly can become experts in thatfield. This theory tells us a plain fact that no one can achieve a sense of job satisfaction without years of effortsand persistence.

In conclusion, people having a constant job are more likely to have a promising career and wellbeing.

　　A job can provide people with various things including pay, perks, and reputation. But if one thinks about the significance or at very least the purpose of doing the job, he/she must really consider the relative importance between job satisfaction and job stability.

Some believe that the sense of satisfaction outweighs that of security in the workplace. The reason is that if people are satisfied with their job, they will naturally have more zest for what they do, and this can in turn motivate them to achieve better job performance. By comparison, although a high level of job security suggests that people can keep their jobs, those who value it more would have less incentive to work hard, and thus be less likely to reach comparable achievements.

However, I personally would agree with the view that jobs are not always enjoyable and a constant career bear more importance. For instance, if a product manager wants to succeed, he/she will have to study the varying preferences of consumers before launching any potentially popular product. A more convincing example is the scientists who identified the cycle of sunspot. He spent his entire life in an observatory tracking and recording the astronomical data. None of these works are pleasant things to do, but without such continuous painstaking workin an occupation, people will be unable to taste the thrill of success, and can even end up leading a fruitless life.

In conclusion, my own view is that job satisfaction is moreimportant than job security, but to accomplish any meaningful goals, one must go through the repetition of endless boring works.
